Destination Itineraries

This page features some of our favorite trips and activities, shared with the hope that they inspire joy and exploration for you as well.

Spain in seven days is a sprint, not a marathon! Since you only have a week, it’s best to focus on the "Big Three" (Madrid, Seville, and Barcelona) or stick to one specific region like Andalusia or Catalonia to avoid spending all your time on a train.

Here is a balanced "First-Timer’s" itinerary that covers the heart of Spanish culture, linked by high-speed trains.

🇪🇸 The "Classic Spain" Itinerary

Route: Madrid → Seville → Barcelona

Days 1–2: Madrid (The Grand Capital)

  • Day 1: Start at Puerta del Sol and walk to the Plaza Mayor. Spend your afternoon at the Royal Palace (Palacio Real) and end the night with tapas in the La Latina neighborhood.

  • Day 2: Visit the "Golden Triangle of Art"—specifically the Prado Museum. Afterward, relax in El Retiro Park and see the Crystal Palace. Catch a late-afternoon high-speed train (AVE) to Seville (approx. 2.5 hours).

Days 3–4: Seville (The Soul of Andalusia)

  • Day 3: Explore the Seville Cathedral (the world's largest Gothic cathedral) and climb the Giralda Tower. Spend your afternoon in the Real Alcázar, a stunning Moorish palace. Finish with a Flamenco show in the Triana district.

  • Day 4: Visit the breathtaking Plaza de España and stroll through Maria Luisa Park. In the afternoon, take a 45-minute train to Córdoba to see the Mezquita (Mosque-Cathedral) before returning to Seville for dinner.

Days 5–7: Barcelona (Gaudí & The Coast)

  • Day 5: Fly or take a high-speed train to Barcelona. Start with a walk down La Rambla and explore the Gothic Quarter (Barri Gòtic). Head to Barceloneta Beach for seafood and a sunset view.

  • Day 6: The "Gaudí Day." Start early at La Sagrada Família (book tickets weeks in advance!). Later, head uphill to Park Güell for panoramic views of the city and the iconic mosaic lizard.

  • Day 7: Visit Casa Batlló or La Pedrera on the Passeig de Gràcia. Spend your final afternoon shopping or visiting the Picasso Museum before a farewell dinner of paella.
